I am Rev. Sarah Margaret, a licensed wedding officiant and ordained Interfaith Minister, ordained by The New Seminary, the oldest and most prestigious Interfaith Seminary in the world.  A resident of Suffolk County, I serve the communities of the Twin Forks of Long Island, as well as Nassau & Suffolk Counties, the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties. I have performed weddings in other states and am willing to travel to make your day special!

For me, the key to everything has always been, and always will be, LOVE.  From the time I was nine, seeing my parents divorced (and being raised Catholic, that was completely frowned upon), and watching their respective struggles in getting remarried to their respective soulmates, I vowed that love would always be my reasoning behind everything.

Believing in the Divine power of LOVE, as well as the concept of Interfaith (the belief that, underneath it all, we are all One with God/Goddess/All There Is), I bring a unique perspective to any ceremony I create.  My friends, colleagues, and spiritual guides come from all walks of life (theatre circles, the LGBTQ community, pagan, wiccan, polyamorous, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, just to name a few); the one thing we all have in common is LOVE - Love for one another, love for this planet, love for life, love for LOVE.  It is my pleasure to create for you and your beloved a spiritual, religious, civil, or non-denominational ceremony that incorporates the cultural, personal, poetic, & romantic aspects reflecting your unique relationship.

I love performing outdoor weddings (i.e. in backyards, at your favorite winery, on the beach, in your favorite park) as well as indoor weddings (i.e. in private homes, restaurants, chapels, churches, etc.) I love to travel & will do everything in my power to make your “special day” even more special.

We found the perfect officiant when we chose Rev. Sarah. She was extremely professional and totally fit in with our small intimate crowd of family and friends.

We could not have made a better choice for our wedding officiant. Rev. Sarah got what we wanted from our first conversation, and took the time to get to know us and what makes us work, incorporating that personalization into every aspect of our ceremony. Coming from two religious backgrounds, we knew we didn't want a traditional ceremony from either side, but wanted something completely specialized and personal that just felt right to us, while also maintaining some aspects of our upbringings. We could not have found a better officiant for the task; she got it all, and worked through all of the questions and concerns with us to make sure it was all just right. We received so many compliments from friends and family (even though they were originally concerned by our "non-traditional" choice), but most importantly, we had the exact wedding ceremony that we wanted, and loved every single second of it. I highly recommend Rev. Sarah for anyone looking for that special, personal touch for their special day.

It was a beautiful sunny day on the beach, and we were eloping. Rev. Sarah made our special day even more special. She incorporated all our requests in her ceremony.

Reverend Sarah is amazingly personal. She effortlessly drafted a ceremony that reflected us both individually and as a couple. We felt that she was invested in our marriage throughout the entire process. Not only did we love our ceremony, but we received countless compliments regarding how Reverend Sarah captured our love. We respect that she values all love regardless of who, where, and how. To us, choosing the perfect officiant was a high priority and we feel blessed to have found Reverend Sarah. She made us feel special on our wedding day and we will always remember our ceremony with fondness.

Sarah Margaret is a wonderful minister and wedding officiant. She worked with me and my fiance on organizing our ceremony order, the wording for the exchanging of rings, the readings (and context) and the blessing, in a way that we could not have done on our own. She provided great recommendations on vows and references, reworked a draft several times, and made us feel amazingly loved and blessed on our special day. She also has amazing stage presence and rocked the venue!
