Erana and Jason Ferrone – they’d been married six years already and had to postpone/cancel their first reception as she got pregnant with their daughter Zanya.
Erana is from New Zealand and Jason from New York and France – this was an international wedding with guests flying in from all continents.
So for Erana and Jason this time it was an “I do, take two” and boy did they do it in style. Their adorable daughter, Zanya would be the star flower girl and she was holding a super cute: “Dada, here comes Mama!” flag. One of my favorite shots of the day for sure.
The venue was the amazing Hartley Botanica in Somis, California.
The Officiant was Jason’s Father, Steve Ferrone who flew in from Britain.
We had a Selfie Station, cigar lounge for the boys, and Her mom, Mrs. Mary Lodge did a welcome speech and “Maori” prayer/blessing. It was quite extraordinary. Mary also sang a Maori blessing song too – fantastic.
Erana and Jason totally nailed the first dance – I’ve seen a lot of these dances and this could, quite possibly, be the best First Dance I’ve seen at a wedding. They were awesome.
The grand finale was the Sparkler exit:
The sparkler shots turned out great in spite of some challenging lighting. Certainly we couldn’t re-stage it once those babies were lit! Erana and Jason loved the photos, and very kindly wrote me an (unprompted) testimonial on Yelp. They were simply the most gorgeous couple for a spring wedding.
Theme: New Zealand Kiwi\Maori and California blend.
Wedding colors: Royal Blue\Fuschia, headwear especially flown in New Zealand with exotic flowers and weaved-in colors. Boutonniere with sea shell trim was set off by the symbol from New Zealand flag, the silver fern.
