From the Bride:
Our wedding day couldn’t have been anymore perfect. We tried to keep it very simple. Considering the amazing scenery it was easy to rely on Mother Nature for our decor. Rev Kimo Taylor was so amazingly professional that our guests though he’d known us for years. The Picket Fence took all of our ideas for the flowers and brought them to reality. Most importantly our photographer, Gina Burg, captured every moment perfectly. She took extra care as to not miss one single detail from our pre-wedding festivities to our dinner reception. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about our venue or our vendors that day and would recommend Kailua Beach to anyone looking to hold a destination wedding.
From the Photographer:
This gorgeous, yet casual wedding took place at Yly’s Aunt Jennie’s home in Kailua. Nestled between swaying palm trees right on the beach on the windward side of O’ahu, it couldn’t have been a more perfect location. In the Hawaiian Language Kailua means “two seas” or “two currents”, kai (meaning “sea” or “sea water”) and ʻelua (meaning “two”) – a perfect location for a wedding! The colors they chose pop out of the images and I can’t seem to shake the term Malibu Barbie and Ken out of my head when looking at them (even though I know the bride Jamie would not be thrilled with that term). This day couldn’t have been any more perfect and I had a really hard time narrowing down which images to share. Photographing this wedding was a true labor of love for me, and I could not be happier for Yly and Jamie to have found one another and to have been a part of their big day.
