Benares has been providing top-of-the-line catering for a number of years.  We began in 1998 as an extension of our restaurant and since then have expanded into a full-fledged catering business with an external commissary.  Our specialties are high-end weddings and corporate events.  What sets Benares apart is our creative cuisine and impeccable service.

​Previous clients include corporations such as New York Life, Goldman Sachs, United Nations and Indian Consulate. Additionally, individual clients include Martha Stewart, celebrated event planner Colin Cowie, fashion designer Naeem Kahn, and Rajat Gupta, CEO of the McKinsey Group.

Locations we’ve worked with include New York Public Library, Brooklyn Museum, Gotham Hall, Museum of Natural History,  Studio 450, Mandarin Oriental New York, and the Waldorf Astoria.
