I am an ordained priest in the Roman Catholic Tradition, Chaplain and Registered Civil Marriage Celebrant based in Beacon, with a wide experience of performing different kinds of ceremonies including: weddings, same sex weddings, funerals, memorials, baby naming days, anniversaries and special occasions.
My training and experience have given me a deep knowledge of the role of officiant and celebrant in the community and the important place of ritual and ceremony in our lives. We will create a beautiful Order of Service that expresses your deepest feelings and most powerful emotions – whether they be feelings of love, joy, optimism, grief or acceptance.
My marriage ceremony costs include all meetings, email and phone discussions, taking the legal responsibility for your wedding ceremony, designing and writing your ceremony, a rehearsal if needed, conducting the ceremony, registering your marriage.
The Edinburgh and Stirling Wedding Plan Includes:
I charge a flat fee which is inclusive of all my professional services. We have at least three meetings to plan, discuss and personalize your wedding ceremony.
Unlimited consultation time is also available via phone and email.
You are provided with a comprehensive “Your Wedding Ceremony” package which contains everything you require to create your wedding ceremony and your own marriage vows.
If you are after something in particular for your ceremony I can include extra resources to tailor the package for you, for example suggestions on how to include children in your ceremony, information on specific rituals you are after, a sample of a particular type of wedding I have conducted before.
After drafting your ceremony, I will spend as much time as is required to fine-tune the ceremony based on your feedback and ideas you have discussed with me in our meetings. This is often done via email.
An on-site rehearsal (an extra $200) makes a significant difference, so as to create a relaxed environment for everyone.
If the venue is 20 miles from officiants residence (Beacon) there is an additional $50 fee to cover travel.
If there are co-officiants (such as a Rabbi or another minister of religion), the stipend for the officiants services shall be the higher of the officiants usual stipend as stated in this agreement or the co-officiants stipend.
Unless the entire stipend is paid upon the execution of this agreement, a deposit of $100 will be required to reserve the couple’s date, the balance should be presented to the officiant, along with the Marriage License, on the wedding day prior to the start of the service.
Please call me to discuss the details of your wedding ceremony and I will be able to give you a definite cost for my services.
I have three wedding plans, the Edinburgh, Stirling and Gretna Green Elopement.
Gretna Green Ceremony: The use of a basic and generic wedding ceremony created my Fr. Jim. It can be either civil or spiritual in nature.
