My name is Elizabeth Loera but everyone calls me Liz. It’s important to me that you know who I am and why I am a photographer so that you can choose someone compatible to you and your likes. I am a believer in love and I know that it can last forever if you work for it. I have been married for 5 years but it does not seem that long. We have been together for 7 years though, and although we might have days that I can’t stand to be around him I wouldn't trade him or our time together for the world. I am a dog lover and my chocolate lab Chester, my best friend, who by the way hates pictures. I have been a photographer for many, many years. I started at age 10 charging my friends for pictures. I was doing green screen before it was cool! I would carry a little binder around that had picture printing packages and a la carte services. I have never stopped taking pictures but I did take a small detour when choosing my career. I decided to go to college for Medical Assisting, but who didn't. I thought it was what I wanted and then I found a job and I was even more unhappy than ever. Just about that time my husband lost his job at a company he had been working at for almost 5 years, and I was on the verge of losing mine. When my husband’s sister called and said that she needed help immediately. Of course I am always up for an adventure so we packed up our bags and left to Idaho! I bet you weren't expecting that. That is when I truly found my calling; I was lonely and didn't have my family around. I had an awesome point n shoot Camera and I just started shooting like crazy, I can’t say I didn't shoot like crazy before on every vacation, but this was different. This was what I had been waiting for the scenery and Majestic Mountains made it easy for me to become more than just interested in photography, I was obsessed. I started my business in 2009 officially, but I had been doing some work for friends unpaid. I made a really sucky website and decided that was it I was going to be a photographer and I had to learn the basics and get a good camera. My first digital SLR camera was a D60 and I loved it, still do. Believe it or not I still use that D60 as a backup. I have come a long way and my work has too, but I still have that glow and excitement about photography that I did when I was 10 years old, It’s a passion. So whether you decide to go with me or some other photographer make sure that you're compatible and that you are a fan of their work and style. I hope you find the right one and that in twenty years when you look back at your photo’s you still get that same feeling you felt the day you received your pictures.
