LA Urban Vintage Wedding

Rick and Sasha wanted their wedding to reflect a Pacific Northwest aesthetic, since Rick is from Portland and together they live in L.A.  The wedding took place at an old smog check center, to give a L.A. effect.  To weave a subtle Oregon/California theme throughout the wedding the couple  had the DJ play some Northwest artists like Band of Horses and Elliott Smith during cocktail hour. Also, one of the button designs had outlines of Oregon and California.

The centerpiece of the dessert table was a tree of Magnolia cupcakes.

A Message to other brides planning their wedding:
“Don’t compromise on your vision just to please other people. A lot of our relatives had trouble seeing our vision and were skeptical when we told them we were getting married in a former smog check center. However, when they arrived and saw the final presentation, with flowers and decorations and lighting and everything else, everyone loved it. We put on exactly the event we wanted and everyone seemed to appreciate just how personalized it was.”-Sasha
